Zu meiner Freude erhielt ich im vergangenen Jahr eine Einladung vom Lions Club Gotha um über die jüngste Entwicklung des Bildungsprojekts in Ruanda zu berichten.

Am letzten Dienstag, 10. Januar, war es soweit. Nachdem ich im Mai 2022 wieder nach Ruanda gereist war, um unsere Mitarbeiter und viele der Patenkinder zu treffen, gab es viel Neues zu berichten und von den Erfolgen unseres Projekts zu erzählen. Nicht nur von beruflichen Erfolgen, sondern auch von gelungenen Initiativen einzelner Mitglieder des Lions Clubs, die die Lebenssituation von Menschen in unserem Projekt stark verbessert haben.
Mein Vortrag vor Mitgliedern des Lions Clubs Gotha am 10. Januar 2023 An meinen Vortrag, den ich mit Fotos anreicherte, die ich während meiner Reise gemacht hatte (bezüglich der Musik versagte leider die Technik), schloß sich ein reges Gespräch an, während dessen ich viele Fragen beantworten konnte.
Der Präsident des Clubs versicherte mir, daß die „Lions“ auch in Zukunft unser Projekt unterstützen werden. Darüber sind wir sehr froh, denn es zeigt, daß es ein Bewußtsein für die Wichtigkeit von Bildung und Ausbildung als Lebensgrundlage für ein auskömmliches und gedeihliches Leben in der Heimat dieser jungen Menschen gibt – und letztlich für ein friedliches Zusammenleben auf unserer einen Erde.

To my delight, last year I received an invitation from the Lions Club of Gotha to report on the recent development of the educational project in Rwanda.

Last Tuesday, January 10, was the day. After I had traveled to Rwanda again in May 2022 to meet our staff and many of the sponsored children, there was much news to report and tell about the successes of our project. Not only about professional successes, but also about successful initiatives of individual members of the Lions Club, who have greatly improved the living situation of people in our project. My presentation to members of the Gotha Lions Club on January 10, 2023 My presentation, which I illustrated with photos that I had taken during my trip (unfortunately, the technology failed with regard to the music), was followed by a lively conversation, during which I was able to answer many questions.
The president of the club assured me that the „Lions“ will continue to support our project in the future. We are very happy about this, because it shows that there is an awareness of the importance of education and training as a basis for a sufficient and prosperous life in the home country of these young people – and ultimately for a peaceful coexistence on our one earth.
