Relativ kurzfristig hat er sich in diesem Jahr doch noch ergeben: der Weihnachtsmarkt auf unserem Ruhlaer Markt am 3. Dezember. Eigentlich war es ja eher ein Adventsmarkt, denn Weihnachten ist ja noch 3 wochen hin. Aber sei’s drum!
Für die Besucher war es schön, wieder zusammenzukommen und natürlich war es besonders für die Kinder ein freudiges Erlebnis, nachdem der Weihnachtsmarkt ja zwei Jahre lange Corona-bedingt ausgefallen war.
Und selbstverständlich war unser Eine-Welt-Kreis wieder mit dabei!
Ich konnte diesmal nicht mit am Stand sein, denn am selben Tag fanden unsere ausgedehnten Krippenspielproben statt. Der Termin stand schon fest bevor ich vom Termin für den Weihnachtsmarkt erfuhr. Aber vier unserer Mitglieder haben tapfer ausgeharrt 🙂
Am Abend waren sie dann froh nach Hause gehen zu können, denn es war doch relativ kalt an diesem Tag und etwas Schnee lag auch. Für die Stimmung der Menschen war das natürlich schön, aber die Füße lassen es einen schon spüren, wenn man stundenlang in der Kälte steht.
Darum unseren Helfern vom Eine-Welt-Kreis ein herzliches Dankeschön – und natürlich unseren Besuchern, die für das Bildungsprojekt in Ruanda gespendet haben!
Das Geld wird helfen, die Not zu lindern, die durch die allgemeine Inflation verschärft wird.

It happened at relatively short notice this year: the Christmas market at our Ruhla market on 3 December. Actually, it was more of an Advent market, because Christmas is still 3 weeks away. But so be it!
It was nice for the visitors to come together again and of course it was a joyful experience especially for the children, after the Christmas market had been cancelled for two years due to Corona.
And of course our One World Circle was there again!
I was not able to be at the stall this time, because our extended nativity play rehearsals took place on the same day. The date was already fixed before I found out about the Christmas market. But four of our members bravely held out 🙂
In the evening they were glad to be able to go home, because it was quite cold that day and there was also some snow. Of course, it was nice for the people’s mood, but your feet can feel it when you stand in the cold for hours.
Therefore, a big thank you to our helpers from the One World Circle – and of course to our visitors who donated to the education project in Rwanda!
The money will help to alleviate the hardship that is exacerbated by general inflation.
