AMIZERO Y’UBUZIMA (AYU) ist eine ruandische Nichtregierungsorganisation, die nach dem Gesetz Nr. 04/2012 vom 17.02.2012 über lokale Nichtregierungsorganisationen in Ruanda gegründet und deren Satzung mit absoluter Mehrheit während der Gründungsversammlung am 04.04.2014 in Kibilizi angenommen wurde. Derzeit hat AYU 21 Mitglieder.

Amizero y’Ubuzima Organisation wurde von Ruandern gegründet. Die Vereinsvorsitzende ist Frau Laurette Mushimiyimana.

AMIZERO Y’UBUZIMA hat die Vision, alle Hindernisse bezüglich Bildung, Gesundheitsfürsorge und soziale Wohlfahrt für Kinder und Jugendliche mit Behinderungen in Ruanda zu beseitigen und die Bildung und Gesundheit von Kindern und Jugendlichen mit Behinderungen zu fördern.

Um ihren Auftrag zu erfüllen, hat die Organisation vier Hauptziele festgelegt:

• Unterstützung und Fürsprache für Kinder und Jugendliche mit Behinderungen.
• Förderung und soziale Integration von Kindern und Jugendlichen mit Behinderungen.
• Den Kindern und Jugendlichen mit geistiger Behinderung zu helfen, die Armut zu überwinden, indem sie ihnen eine professionelle Ausbildung, eine gemeinschaftsbasierte Rehabilitation sowie Sonderausbildung gewährleisten.
• Diskriminierung aufgrund von Behinderungen in der Gesellschaft zu verhindern.

AMIZERO Y’UBUZIMA wird von zwei Organen geleitet, der Generalversammlung (oberstes Organ) und dem Vorstand, der aus fünf Mitgliedern besteht, die für ein Mandat von fünf Jahren gewählt werden und nur zweimal mit der Verantwortung für die Durchführung der Beschlüsse der Generalversammlung und die Durchführung der tägliche Führung des Vereins und Berichterstattung an die Generalversammlung betraut werden. Beide Organe werden von Auditoren und einem Konfliktlösungdkomittee unterstützt.

Die Arbeit von AYU wird von folgenden Partnern unterstützt:

• Verschiedene Ministerien für soziale Angelegenheiten, Familienförderung, Bildung und Gesundheit
• Nationalrat für die Behinderten von Ruanda
• die katholische Kirche von Ruanda
• Kibilizi Pfarrei
• einige internationale Vereinigungen mit dem Ziel sicherzustellen, dass diese Kinder gebildet und unabhängig sind und eine gute Zukunft haben werden.

Co-operation partner of the Ecumenical 1World-Group in Erbstromtal valley (Germany)

AMIZERO Y’UBUZIMA (AYU) is a Rwandan non-governmental and non-profiot making organization created in accordance with the law N°04/2012 of 17/02/2012 governing local non-governmental organizations in Rwanda and by this statutes adopted by the absolute majority members of the Organization gathered in the General Assembly held at Kibirizi on 04/04/2014. To date AYU has 21 members.

Amizero y’Ubuzima Organization was founded by Rwandans and headed and encouraged by Mrs.Laurette Mushimiyimana.

AMIZERO Y’UBUZIMA has the Vision of removing all education, health care and social welfare barriers towards children and youth with disabilities in Rwanda and a mission of promoting education and health of children and youth with disabilities.

To achieve its mission, the organization has set four key objectives:

• To assist and advocate for Children and youth with disabilities.
• To promote and make social integration of Children and youth with disabilities.
• To help Children and youth with intellectual disabilities to get out the poverty by ensuring them professional training, community based rehabilitation as well as the special education.
• To discourage disability-based discrimination activities in the society.

AMIZERO Y’UBUZIMA Organization is governed through two organs, the General Assembly (highest organ) and the Board of Directors composed of five members elected for five years mandate renewable only twice with the responsibility of implementing the decisions of the General Assembly, carrying out the daily management of the Association and reporting to the General Assembly. Both boards are assisted by a Board of Auditors and a Conflict Resolution Committee.

To find solutions to the challenges, AYU has different following partners:

• Different ministries that are incharge of social affairs, family promotion, education and health
• National Council for Disability of Rwanda
• the Catholic Church of Rwanda
• Kibilizi Parish
• some international associations all with the aim of making sure that this children are educated and will be independent and will have a good future.
